Active Individual Nanoresonators Optimized for Lasing and Spasing Operation

Plasmonic nanoresonators consisting of a gold nanorod and spherical silica core shell, both coated with gain layer, were optimized to maximize the stimulated emission in near-field (NF-c-type) outcoupling into far-field (FF-c-type) enter spasing operation region (NF-c*-type). It was shown that case moderate dye concentration, has more advantages: smaller lasing threshold larger slope efficiency achieved intensities addition FF-c-type systems’ outflow threshold, earlier dip-to-peak switching spectrum slightly efficiency. However, (far-field) bandwidth is for NF-c-type core–shell nanoresonators. In concentration (NF-c*-type), although intensity remain nanorod, nanoresonator advantageous, considering lasing, outflow, absorption extinction cross-section thresholds as well significantly internal external quantum efficiencies. also strong-coupling time-competing plasmonic modes accompanies transition from occurring, when crosses zero. As result most efficient enhancement forward direction, uniform distribution achieved.
